FAQ

Buying from auctions or wholesale shouldn’t be a mystery. We believe in total transparency—from fee structures to vehicle condition reports. Here are the answers to the most common questions about how Auto Transat secures the best inventory at the best prices.

SOURCING & SALES

We offer two distinct ways to buy: personalized retail sourcing for individual buyers and high-volume wholesale drops for dealers.

You tell us exactly what car you want, and we hunt it down for you. You pay the transparent auction price plus a flat finder’s fee (approx. $500), guaranteeing you pay less than standard retail prices.

Yes. To secure a vehicle at auction, we require a deposit covering the finder’s fee and auction fees. This allows us to bid on your behalf immediately.

We release fresh “drops” of high-turnover inventory—typically trucks like F-150s and SUVs—every week. These are purchased specifically for quick resale and are available immediately.

QUALITY & PROTECTION

Don’t fear the auction. We eliminate the risk of buying online through rigorous multi-stage inspections and strict arbitration policies.

We pay for certifications at the auction to verify the engine and transmission. If a major issue is found that wasn’t disclosed, we utilize the auction’s arbitration policy to return the car immediately.

Yes. Once a car leaves the auction, we take it to a third-party mechanic or dealership for a second “audit.” If they find issues the auction missed, we handle it before the car ever gets to you.

Absolutely. In fact, we require it. We will not finalize the sale until you (or a third party you trust) have inspected the vehicle to ensure there are no headaches down the road.

WARRANTY & GUARANTEES

We operate on a “No Headache” policy. Our rigorous inspection protocols and arbitration support ensure that you never get stuck with a lemon. If the car isn’t what we promised, we make it right.

We guarantee the condition at the time of sale through a multi-stage audit. We pay for an auction inspection to certify the engine and transmission run on oil, and we mandate a third-party inspection immediately after purchase to catch any undisclosed issues.

If our post-auction inspection reveals a problem that was not disclosed in the auction report (such as transmission failure), we handle the arbitration process immediately to return the vehicle or secure a price reduction on your behalf.

We go further than matching. We price guarantee that your total cost—including the vehicle price, auction fees, and our finder’s fee—will be lower than the retail price of a comparable vehicle at a standard dealership.
